The restaurants at Kings Harbor Waterfront Village in Kingwood plan to celebrate summer a little early this year. They will present “Summer Saturdays” with free live music every Saturday in April and May from 7 – 10 pm in the Harbor Plaza.
“We invite families to enjoy dinner at one of our restaurants, bring their blankets and listen to some great music,” said Dana Harms, marketing manager for Midway Companies. “It’s a good way to kick off the summer while the nights are still cool.”
The Saturday night entertainment line-up will include a mix of musical styles including classic rock, pop, jazz, reggae and R&B. “We will have something for everyone including some first time bands to Kingwood.” Said Harms. In addition, the Harbor fountain will be available to cool off the kids.
The first event in the live music series will be the Chris Cortez Band playing New Orleans’ jazz on April 2. They will be followed by Sax Magic, April 9; The Revelators, April 16; The Rod Brothers Band, April 23 and the Marvin Herbert Duo, April 30. The May line-up will be: The Classix, May 7; Matchstix, May 14; Sea Breeze Sax, May 21, and a band yet to be announced, May 28.
“Summer Saturdays” complements a series of free events that Kings Harbor is offering for the community.
Kings Harbor is located at 1660 West Lake Houston Parkway in Kingwood. The sponsoring restaurants are; Chimichurri’s South American Grill, Raffa’s, Sharky’s Grill and Zammitti’s.
